FASTING LTE
This fasting LTE was one of the best experiences of my life. I had never fasted that long in my life and I expect I’ll be fasting even longer at another time in the near future. I’m going to tell you about some of the things I learned during this event, the thing I liked best about it, and then how it prepared me and many other people for the Norway trip that was to come up after it.
Well first, I learned that when you choose to do something for the Lord that stretches your comfort zone, He seems to respond pretty quickly. I think it’s because He sees that we want to know Him so much, that we are willing to do something hard for Him. Now you have to remember that sacrifice is not what the Lord longs for. He longs for obedience. It is the greatest expression of love that we can give to Him. The Lord is love sick for those who fear Him and love Him with servant hearts.
The second thing I wanted to tell you is what I liked best about it. I think it’s no mystery that everyone fell in love with the heart that Blaise Foret was able to pour out to us. Blaise Foret, for those of you who don’t know, is a man who loves the Lord with such an amazing passion that is pushes and excites others to seek the Lord. I know that the passion he has for the Lord definitely inspires me and makes me want to go harder after God. It’s the Spirit of God heavy within him that stirs me up to follow Christ. The thing that I love about him is that, he’s not perfect. He has flaws and times where he has messed up, but the thing that inspired me was that he was covered in grace. The grace of the Lord covered him so heavily that it just flooded through the room when he spoke. I now see that anointing doesn’t go to those who are really talented, really strong, really wise, or really fast necessarily. I can now see that the out-pouring of His anointing goes to the hearts that have been totally wrecked for the Lord. I desire…I yearn to have a wrecked heart for Him!!!!!!!
Finally, I wanted to tell you about a trip I went on to Norway just 3 to 4 days after the event. During this trip, we got to watch in awe as the Lord used us to destroy powers of darkness. We saw deliverance from spiritual forces in people’s lives, and we also got to see the Holy Spirit give prophetic words to us from some spiritual leaders in Norway. It’s was amazing getting to see God plan for us become more clear and real.
I am so thankful that God had me go through the fasting LTE. Not only did God speak to me during this time, but He prepared me for spiritual battles in Norway. Praise the Lord that He brings us through the fire, and that we always come out stronger and more in love with Him on the other end of it.

Diving in the Fjord
Diving in the Fjord
Our team had just arrived at the Nordtun YWAM Base and we were in high spirits. God had been doing a lot with our group and allowing us to be His hands and feet. We couldn’t wait to see what God would accomplish though us today.
We were quickly greeted by some hospitable “YWAMer’s”, and before long, we were eating bread, jam, nugatti, and goat cheese for a usual Norwegian lunch. While talking to some of the people there, we found out about a thing called the fjord. It is was an inlet from the Atlantic Ocean and was about 40 to 50 feet deep. It was about 40 degrees F, and the water was melted from a glacier. They told us that there was a dock that was somewhere between 10 to 13 feet above the water and that we should go with them to jump in it. This idea both made me nervous and excited me. I started thinking about how the water was going to feel. I imagined it like 1000 knives hitting my body at one time. Still, as scary as that sounded, I went.
By the time we had started walking, I had already shaken most of the nervous feeling away. As we approached the destination though, I began to become very anxious. I tried talking to people during the walk, but I still couldn’t shake the anxious feeling. By the time I got there I just wanted to do it quickly and get it over with. Finally, the time came to jump in.
I stepped up to the edge of the dock, and my anxious feeling began to grow. There was a four foot fence surrounding the dock. This meant I had to climb up onto the slippery wood in order to jump into the water. I began to reconsider taking the jump, as I stepped up onto the fence. So right there, in one moment, I took a leap of faith into the freezing cold fjord. As my body made impact with the icy cold water, I realized that I was jumping into salt water. This salty sensation added an unexpected twist to it, and made me more anxious to get to land. I swam as fast as I could to get to the shore, until I felt that smooth, rocky surface beneath my hands and feet. This was one of the most exhilarating moments in my entire life.
I ended up jumping in one more time before the day was out. Peer pressure is a strong force, you know. Afterwards we walked back to the house singing songs, yelling cadences, and praising the Lord. Still, as awesome as that was, it was only a taste of all the many terrifying, fun, saddening, and exciting experiences I and the team had in Norway.

"Go cry to your mom or be a man" -a poem by: John Roquemore
"Go cry to your mom, or be a man”
Oh little boy, Oh little boy, when will you grow up
It’s been 30 years since you were ten, but I guess time is not enough
You still act like a 5 year old, who cries when things don’t work
You’re irresponsible, and lazy, ill-tempered, and a jerk
You push around your wife and you intimidate you children
You give out orders like a drunken fool, and make threats you’ll leave or kill them
You cannot keep a job, so you force your wife to work
All you do is sleep and watch T.V. and raise your voice at her
Who do you think you are? I said who do you think you are?
Who gave you the right to rip apart a woman’s heart?
What she needs is a man who’s full of servant hearted love
Not a lying, greedy, lunatic, full of hate and lust
God will bring His vengeance, and when you stand before His thrown
You’ll have nothing you can say, you’ll be completely on your own
God trusted you with his daughter, and you think you’ll get way
With all the things you did to her, and said to her each day
Wake up men! Rise up now! Take back this generation!
If we don’t do it now, then there is nothing that can save them.
Judgments coming fast and the blood is on our hands.
We cannot just sit back and hope this tragedy will end
Men take back your posts. Men go take your stand.
Against the powers of darkness that are immediately at hand
Take up the armor of the Lord, the shield of faith and Word of God
Were at the forefront of the battle and it’s time to bring it on.
No more holding back. No more running scared.
No more telling God that it’s to hard, or that you don’t care
The hour is approaching and our Lord Jesus is at the door
Will you be the ones who stand in the gap, and fight this Spiritual War!?!
